xsplash gets called by the /etc/gdm/PreSession script, so you can customize the command line parameters that it gets, and make your own throbber. You can also set it to automatically use a different image, pretty cool. The only thing missing it the ability to make it actually show *progress*... Eh well.</description>

What about customizing the animation? I&#039;m more interested in that, since it could make it nicer (i&#039;m not a fan of the default animation, xubuntu&#039;s is much cooler, imo).
